It's New Year's Day in Manhattan. There's no internet, TV or cellphone coverage, and children are disappearing. A young girl, Sally, pleads with Nathan, a veteran, to hide her from her parents. They flee down the East Coast, encountering madmen, terrorists, and other terrified children. All Nathan knows is that he must not fall asleep.
