Action and Adventure
The story revolves around Philip, an escaped German prisoner of war, and Philip's mysterious Aunt Violette, a woman with a dark past who has removed herself from society. The story, told in four parts, describes their adventures, dangers, and a dark heritage that could destroy them all. The action begins in tiny Campbell Crossing and moves on through Panama, Cuba, and England before returning to Alabama for a fiery climax.
