On December 5, 2005, Lisa Nelson suffered a devastating traumatic brain injury that forced her, out of the game as a busy wife raising two children, working as an educator, and high school basketball coach. Over the next several months and years her body and her faith would be tested as she relearned how to live with physical limitations, and how to trust and listen to a God who allowed this to happen.
