Tama and her friends, Kachina and Masou, undertake a deadly quest to prove their worthiness as winter mages. Along the way, they encounter bloodthirsty creatures, perplexing obstacles and benevolent spirits. Upon returning home, however, they discover another threat which is much closer and far more devious than she could have ever suspected . . .
